William Blake

When looking at the poems “The Little Boy Lost”, “The Little Boy Found”, “The Little Girl Lost”, and “The Little Girl Found”, they first struck me by their similar titles.  I found their relative sizes striking as well.  There’s more to say about the girl getting lost and then found again.  It is important to know the name of the girl, Lyca, and her age.  Furthermore, there is sexual imagery in the poem when the lioness “Loosed [Lyca’s] slender dress / And naked they conveyed” (50-51).  There could have been a sexual encounter within “The Little Boy Lost” poem, but it is more important to discuss this when the girl is involved.
